Ever Red

The strawberry is an agressive ground cover with the added benefit of bearing beautiful foliage all year long, even in the Northeast, where they turn beautiful shades of rusty red as they winter. These strawberry plants live in our front yard just near the walk, where they offer a surprise to passers by, who seem to be perplexed by the idea of seeing fruit in the front yard. Skip the ornamentals and opt for the fruit bearing plants, and plant them amidst other plants instead of in a strawberry pot. You won't be disappointed.
